Rogue Racing - Karts
Rogue Racing has two sizes of karts, 160cc for children and 200cc Honda engines for adults. Each kart has wrap-around bumpers for safety (karting is NON-CONTACT racing and intentional bumping is STRICTLY NOT ALLOWED), catalytic converters and hydraulic brakes.
The pedals are adjustable and should your legs be a little on the short side, a seat booster can be fitted.
There are only 2 pedals - an accelerator on the right and a brake on the left. It is very important that you do not use both pedals at the same time, this will result in the clutch burning out and the end of your karting experience. The track marshals are continually checking for incorrect use of pedals and will display the "Pedals" board to offenders. Read some driving tips here.
The karts have very responsive handing. It isn't like driving a car - an aggressive turn of the steering wheel will turn the kart very quickly, but at slow speeds, steering can be heavy. Children may find steering a little difficult at first due to their apprehension with speed, and hence drive slowly.
The childrens' karts, although having smaller engines, can be further speed restricted if your child is at all nervous. Please feel free to ask when you book in for your experience.
